Suple la demanda cuando las granjas locales no logran satisfacer todas las necesidades del mercado. El producto en polvo es propenso a contaminaci\u00f3n bacteriana, que sobrevive la etapa de deshidrataci\u00f3n y se reactiva al rehidratarse. Existe la posibilidad de contaminaci\u00f3n por cuerpos extra\u00f1os indetectables, como fibras blancas de las bandas de capas que se deshilachan. Para complicar el asunto, la limpieza es seca sin lavado. En una planta donde se recuperan qu\u00edmicos de grado farmac\u00e9utico del polvo, se utiliz\u00f3 una banda homog\u00e9nea Volta. Luego de la limpieza seca, se encontr\u00f3 que el recuento de bacterias era de 12 ppm.
